Bilateral Roaming Deal

Bilateral Roaming Deal

LightSquared has inked a bilateral 4G roaming deal with ClearTalk which will result in greater coverage for more rural areas nationwide. LightSquared is committed to revolutionizing the US wireless industry, and this deal is another step in that direction. ClearTalk is a regional provider of wireless mobile services in a number of states in the US Southwest, while LightSquared specializes in wholesale-only nationwide 4G LTE service.

It is rolling out this service with a budget of $14 billion in private funding, and the rollout is expected to be completed over the next 8 years. By joining forces, ClearTalk gets the benefit of the nationwide 4G LTE LightSquared network. It has been seeking access to this network in order to turn around and market 4G broadband services to its users. LightSquared's advanced satellite network will bring greater connectivity to under served rural communities in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Colorado and Texas.
